Notes:

Minnie Scherr's great-great-grandfather on the Blumenthal side was Yisroel Bach who emigrated to Palestine in 1792 from Russia. After a local pogrom, he gave up his printing business and with approximjately 90 Hasidim settled in Safat. After an earthquake, he and his son (Nissim?) settled in Jerusalem.
