Thomas was of English extraction, but of Irish birth. Before he came to
America with his brothers he lived at Clough Keating, Tipperary,
Ireland. He was a Baptist. On his arrival in America he settled at "Old
Mans Creek" (or Old Back Creek) in what is now Salem County NJ. He came
to America about 1684. He was a large landowner owning 250 acres in
Shrewsbury Neck, NJ. He was a member of the Fifth Assembly which met
from 21 Nov 1709 to 21 Jan 1710.
