Bathsheba and her husband, Theodore Wheaton, invested Bathsheba's inheritance from her father in the Wheaton Glass factory and, by WWI, became very prosperous. Mother of Prominent Manufacturer Expires
An illness of five weeks proved fater this morning to Mrs. Bathsheba Lancaster Wheaton of 516 North High street. She was 84 years old.
Widow of Dr. Theodore C. Wheaton, founder of the Wheaton Glass Company, the deceased is survived by two sons, Frank H. Wheaton, Sr. and Theodore C. Wheaton, Jr. and a daughter, Mrs. Ada Anderson. A sister, Mrs. Laura Mieman [sic Neiman] of Bridgeport, Pa also survives.
The deceased enjoyed a wide circle of friends, all of whom knew her as a woman keenly interested in everyday events.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence at 516 High street Sunday afternoon. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
