Notes:

Daniel Neiman spent his early years in Frederick and Limerick Square PA. He learned the tinsmith trade at Gilbertsville PA. He started in business at 2nd & DeKalb Streets, Bridgeport PA on the Northwest corner in the Colonial Inn. In his later years he was employed by J Ellwood Lee Co, Conshohocken, which became Lee Tire and Rubber Co. Witnesses at his wedding to Laura Lancaster, were Alexander Sheppard Horn and Ida Brooks, a first cousin of Laura's. Daniel & Laura went to Harrisburg PA on their honeymoon. Even though some clippings read that Laura Virginia Lancaster and D. H. Neiman were married at the home of George Jenkins, there is at least one that reads "at the home of the bride." The deed to the 2nd & DeKalb property, which Dorothy Swanson has, shows Laura Virginia Lancaster became the owner on 2 Oct 1884 and they were married on 20 Nov 1884. [source: Dorothy Swanson]
Space for the Bridgeport Post Office was rented from Daniel and Laura Neiman at 201 DeKalb St from 1901 to 1929. The "School Clock" came from the Post Office.
